TEAM NEWS
Lanre Oyebanjo and Gavin Tomlin are both out until October for Reds.
Conor Henderson (ankle) should be fit after missing the last three games and new signing Christian Scales, signed on loan from Crystal Palace on Thursday, is available and could make his debut.
THE FORM GUIDE
Reds are still looking for their first win of the season after two draws and two defeats. Cambridge have picked up seven points from three games so far.
VIEW FROM THE BENCH
: "They have made some good additions to their squad and I think they are a definite promotion contender this season. But we will go there in good spirits. We got an excellent result on Tuesday and we should have beaten Oxford away on the opening day so there is plenty of reason for us to feel we can go there and get a result."Mark Yates
: Richard Money (Cambridge United manager)“We expect a real tough challenge from Crawley. We have said all along we need to come through this first period unscathed and with enough points on the board, so that we can gather some momentum from there on."
WE’VE MET BEFORE?
The clubs were regular opponents in our Conference days and in 2010-11 we drew 2-2 at the Abbey Stadium and won the return game 3-0. This will be the first time we have met in the Football League.
