Scoreboard not in operation for start of the season

The main scoreboard at the Checkatrade.com Stadium will not be in operation for the start of the Sky Bet League Two game against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: "As supporters know, the scoreboard has been a problem for some months now. It was purchased second-hand and did not work for several games last season.

"In the summer we had three different companies come in to look at it. All three have said it is beyond repair, the most recent inspection having taken place earlier this month.

"As a club, we now have to decide what to do next. Even taking the current structure down is a costly exercise.

"I would like to apologise to our supporters for the inconvenience caused. We are working hard to rectify this as quickly as we can on a cost-effective and more updated solution for the club."
