Simpson in charge

6 August 2015

Match officials appointed for Saturday's game

For the second year in a row, Reds’ opening game of the season will be refereed by Jeremy Simpson.

He was in charge at Oakwell a year ago when we kicked off the League One campaign with a 1-0 win at Barnsley.

The Lancashire official took charge of 32 Football League games last season, handing out 119 yellow and nine red cards.

His only other Crawley appointment was the 2-2 draw at Walsall in March 2013.

Mr Simpson will be assisted by Chris Husband and Paul Howard. The fourth official is Lisa Rashid.
