King Harrold...

Striker hopes Dagenham goal will be the first of many in remainder of the season

Matt Harrold savoured his fourth goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Dagenham and hopes it is the start of a goalscoring run.

in the League Two table.thHarrold’s smart finish put Reds on their way to a precious victory, with strike partner Rhys Murphy adding two excellent goals in a win that lifted Crawley up to 15

Matt told Reds PlayerHD: “I have been pleased with my overall game this season but as a striker I’d like to add more goals so hopefully that was the start of me scoring on a consistent basis.

“I think Murphs and I have linked up really well during his time here and the two goals he got on Saturday were pretty special.

“We won the game but we did make it hard for ourselves by switching off when we were in control. I thought Dagenham had a go to be fair, but we got into some really good situations and probably could have finished them off.

“But after two losses we needed to bounce back and start another run, hopefully one we can continue at Barnet on Saturday.”
