Midfielder delighted with goal in precious win for Crawley Town

Midfielder Anthony Wordsworth was delighted to make a goalscoring contribution as Reds made it back to back League One wins with a 2-1 victory over high-flying Swindon on Saturday.

The Ipswich loanee scored his second goal for the club which was just as important as his first in last month's win over Preston when he guided home Gwion Edwards' cross from the left in the fifth minute. Andy Williams equalised before Gavin Tomlin smashed in a late winner.

He said: "Swindon will feel hard done by because they had a lot of possession but we worked all week on a game plan to stop them so credit to the staff and the lads for carrying it out.

"I was screaming for Gwion to pass to me and he put in a lovely ball and it was great to see it go in. It gave us a foothold in the game and I thought we defended well and then Gav has scored a great winner right at the end.

"With the other teams around us picking up points it was a big win for us. There's obviously still a lot of hard work ahead of us but we've won back to back games and you can see the confidence we have now."
