Proctor looking forward to facing his old club on Saturday

Ex-Reds’ striker Jamie Proctor is looking forward to seeing some old faces at Highbury today as his current club Fleetwood take on Crawley.

Proctor had 18 months with the club before heading back to the North West last summer, scoring 13 goals in 67 appearances of which 38 were starts.

The 22-year-old has made 25 appearances for the Cod Army since his move and scored four goals.

He said: “I’m looking forward to Saturday and seeing a few old faces.

“There have been a lot of changes at Crawley since I left and also since we lost 1-0 at their place in September, which was a result I didn’t think we deserved on the day.

“We know it will be a tough game today.”

Fleetwood haven’t won in front of their own fans since beating Gillingham in November and last Saturday they went down 2-0 at home to Oldham, a result Proctor and his team-mates are anxious to put behind them.

He added: “We didn’t play nearly as well as we can last Saturday so it’s good to have another opportunity at home to make amends.

“Overall though it’s been a good season for us so far. Personally, though, I’m not happy because I am in the team to score goals and I haven’t got as many as I’d have liked but hopefully that can change.”
