Goalkeeper confident Reds can climb the table

Lewis Price is confident Reds can climb the League One table in the remainder of his loan spell.

The Welsh international signed until the end of the season last Friday, having played four games in November and December during his first period on loan from Crystal Palace.

He was one of three players signed in January who figured on Saturday when Lewis saved a penalty but was beaten four times as Rochdale won 4-1 at Spotland.

Lewis said: “Saturday was a very disappointing result because when we got back to 2-1 I thought we might nick a goal and a point.

“We are in a bit of transition at the moment. We’ve got a new manager who is trying to get his ideas across and the way he wants us to play, and new players coming into the squad.

“It’s going to take time. Since the four games I had earlier in the season I haven’t played and I know Wardy (Darren Ward) and Ant (Anthony Wordsworth) are in the same boat, they

have hardly played either.

“The more time we spend together on the training ground and on the pitch the better we will get. I really do think there is enough quality in the squad to win games in League One and get up the table.”
