Crawley Town lose to Peterborough United

Crawley Town returned to action on the futsal court after their Christmas break and faced rivals Peterborough United in their latest South East ‘A’ league clash.

Crawley started the better side with several attacks at the Peterborough goal. The early pressure paid off when Kylan Barrett swept home a Liam Wilson corner into the bottom-left corner.

The tempo and intensity increased from both sides with Peterborough finding an equaliser before Crawley Town’s top scorer, Jamie Brazier, limped off injured which was a huge blow for the Red Devils and just before half time Posh made it 2-1.

Crawley came out of the blocks in the second half and quickly equalised through an own goal but then, as we pushed for a third, Peterborough hit us twice to make it 4-2 to them.

A neat move involving Dan Fairall and Brandon Lewington resulted in Lewington tapping in for 4-3 but as we pushed for an equaliser tired legs allowed Peterborough to score twice more to complete a 6-3 win.

Crawley: Lewington, Wilson, Fairall, Barrett, Brazier, Hart, Ahmed  Man of the Match: Dan Fairall
