Sonny: New Gaffer has made a difference

16 January 2015

Defender thinks much-needed win isn't far away

Sonny Bradley says the players are enjoying working under Interim Manager Dean Saunders and he is confident Reds can pick up a much-needed win soon.

The defender was among a clutch of impressive performers in the 2-2 draw against MK Dons and although the visitors’ stoppage-time equaliser made it almost feel like a defeat, Sonny believes Reds can take a lot of positives from the game into Saturday’s match at Spotland against Rochdale.

“The new Gaffer has organised us well, I think you could see that in the MK Dons’ game,” said Sonny. “With Matt Harrold in goal it was perhaps understandable that we dropped deep in the last ten minutes but I thought as a unit and as a team we defended well.

“The Gaffer has had another good week with us on the training ground and we’re looking forward to Saturday. We know what Rochdale are all about but there’s no reason why we can’t go there and get three points if we are disciplined, stick to the game plan and make ourselves hard to break down.”
