Squad's togetherness key to helping improve results says midfielder
Jimmy Smith says Reds’ togetherness will be crucial in the battle to climb the League One table.
Dean Saunders takes the squad to Highbury on Saturday when we will be looking for their first double of the season, having beaten Fleetwood 1-0 at the Checkatrade.com Stadium back in September.
Jimmy said: “We’ve had some tough results but there is definitely a togetherness in the squad and that can help us, along with the experienced players the Gaffer has brought in like Darren Ward, whose a great character in the dressing room and organiser in the team.
“As a squad we all get on well and that can only help and we do want what’s best for the club.
“Obviously the league table doesn’t lie but it’s so tight down there and a couple of wins can make a massive difference. That’s what we’ll be looking for on Saturday up at Fleetwood. Three points will give everyone a lift around the club.”
