Wordsworth debut for Reds

17 January 2015

Midfielder one of three changes at Spotland

Midfielder Anthony Wordsworth made his debut for Reds today in the Sky Bet League One game against Rochdale at Spotland.

His inclusion was one of three changes for a game that only went ahead after three inspections by referee Trevor Kettle after volunteers and ground staff had cleared snow off the Spotland pitch.

Fit-again Ryan Dickson and goalkeeper Lewis Price, who rejoined the club on loan from Crystal Palace on Friday were also included. Brian Jensen, Conor Henderson and Sonny Bradley, who was on the bench, dropped out of the team that shared four goals with MK Dons last week.

Reds: Price; Oyebanjo, Ward, Walsh, Dickson; Smith, Elliott, Wordsworth, Edwards; Tomlin, McLeod. Subs: De Lima, Bradley, Bawling, Anderson, Young, Harrold, Banya.

Rochdale: Lillis, Rafferty, Bennett, Eastham, Lancashire, Vincenti, Dawson, Done, Tanser, Camps, Henderson. Subs: Andrew, Brandy, Noble-Lazarus, Hery, Musangu, Rose, Logan.
