Reds head to Liberty Way for pre-season test
Reds face their second pre-season test in the space of 48 hours tonight when Mark Yates takes the squad to Manor Park to face Conference North side Nuneaton Town.
The game was arranged as part of the deal which led to midfielder Lee Fowler joining Reds on loan in January from the Midlands’ club.
After Monday’s excellent 1-0 win over Championship side Reading, Reds will be looking for another good performance as they continue the build up to the League Two opener at Oxford United on August 8.
Mark said: “After three tough games against Championship opposition Nuneaton will be a different test for us, but one we are looking forward to.
“We played well on Monday and there were a lot of positives for us and although results of friendlies are not important it is obviously good for confidence.
“We have got Nuneaton and Whitehawk on Saturday which gives us two good games to work on certain things and get more game time in the players.”
