Whitehawk next...

Reds travel to Enclosed Ground on Saturday

Reds complete their pre-season programme on Saturday with a trip to National League South Whitehawk at the Enclosed Ground in Brighton, kick off 3pm.

Mark Yates is expecting a similar sort of test to that provided by Nuneaton Town, whom Reds beat 3-0 on Wednesday.

The boss said: “Nuneaton was a good test for us. We tried one or two things in terms of formation and personnel and the players who needed it got 90 minutes under their belt.

“We have one or two minor knocks – nothing serious – and we won’t be risking anyone on Saturday, especially with the first League Two game at Oxford United now just eight days away.

“But we’re going there with a strong squad and it’s a game I am looking forward to. We have brought in five players this week and there is some depth in the squad now and Saturday is the last opportunity for players to stake their claim to be in the team for the Oxford match.”
