Find out about Crawley Town Community's educational scholarships at Open Evening on Thursday
After the successful launch and first year of Crawley Town Community Foundation’s education scholarship based at the Checkatrade.com Stadium, we are now recruiting for 2015-16 (course starting in September 2015). There will be an open evening this Thursday (March 26) at 6.30pm here at Crawley Town FC.
The open evening will be an opportunity for prospective students to come along and find out more about the course and also allow them an opportunity to speak to current students.
The scholarship is a two-year full-time BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport Level 3 - equivalent to three A Levels.
There will be further opportunities to study other sport-related courses as well as play futsal for Crawley Town FC against other Football League and Premier League clubs. Learners will receive 12
hours of education per week and up to eight hours of Futsal, including training and fixtures.
This course particularly suits those wanting to enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector such as sports coaches, instructors and leaders for those wishing to progress to higher
education to study a sport-related degree such as Sports Development and Sports Science or indeed travel to USA and work within the sports industry.
Dan Fairall, 17 and from Redhill, said: “It’s been an amazing experience so far and to be a part of the programme with Crawley Town FC is an honour. I really love working with my fellow students,
teacher and coaches.”
This is an innovative and exciting programme for 16-19 years old to gain a first class education and be involved in a professional programme.
