Surface improvements underway at the Checkatrade.com Stadium
The season ended just a few days ago but renovation work on the pitch at the Checkatrade.com Stadium is already underway.
Our pitch partners SJK Sports Care moved in on Thursday to begin a process of rotovation, sand slitting and re-seeding as well as further improvement work on the pitch drainage.
Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: “The money we invested in the pitch a year ago paid dividends last season. We didn’t lose a single match to the weather and the improvement in our playing
surface was very noticeable thanks to the hard work of Ben Harwood and Tom Martin, our groundsmen here at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.
“Further investment this summer should see us have an even better playing surface next season.”
