Goalkeeper goes back to Newcastle UnitedThe club can confirm that Newcastle United have recalled goalkeeper Freddie Woodman from his loan spell with Reds with immediate effect.
The 18-year-old, who made 12 appearances for Crawley after joining the club in July, is heading back to St James' Park after Newcastle's first choice goalkeeper Tim Krul was ruled out for the rest of the season on Sunday after suffering knee ligament damage playing for Holland in their Euro 2016 qualifier against Kazakhstan on Saturday.
Freddie, who is currently on England under-19 duty, tweeted: "Thanks for all the messages. Gutted to be leaving Crawley Town. Learnt a lot and enjoyed every minute of it."
