Crawley Kicks expands

14 September 2015

More sessions in Bewbush from September 15

Crawley Kicks is a free weekly football session for young people aged 12-19. The project aims to educate young people and support them to make the right life choices, using football to engage and motivate.

Alongside structured coaching, Kicks offers match tickets for participants and tournaments against other clubs, as well as leadership, volunteering and employment opportunities for participants. Kicks currently runs once a week from Bewbush Multi Use Games Area, attracting over 30 young people each week.

Due to the success of the Kicks programme to date, and as a result of additional funding from the Think Family Neighbourhood Fund, Crawley Town Community Foundation has been able to expand the project in Bewbush. Starting from the 15th September, a further two Kicks sessions will take place in Bewbush, alongside the existing session, at the following times:

Tuesdays - 18:30-20:00 for 12-15 year olds

Thursdays - 18:30-20:00 for 12-15 year olds

Thursdays - 20:00-21:30 for 16+

In addition, thanks to additional funding from the L+Q Foundation, Kicks will also be running a further session in Broadfield on Friday evenings. Further information about the start date will be sent out soon, so watch this space!
