TEAM NEWS

Reds hope to have Gavin Tomlin (hamstring) available but Matt Harrold (knee) and Liam McAlinden (hamstring) remain sidelined. Andy Bond starts a three-match ban after his red card against Northampton.

Carlisle's Dave Atkinson is a doubt for the game because of a hamstring problem while defender Tom Miller and Michael Raynes are also likely to be missing.

THE FORM GUIDE

Reds have lost their last five games.

Carlisle have won two, drawn six and lost four of their last 12 matches.

VIEW FROM THE BOSS

Mark Yates: “Carlisle were one of the best sides we played up there in November, they beat us fair and square. We've had a tough run of games and although Carlisle are a bit lower down the table they will still feel they have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs so they will be going for it. But we need to finish the season strongly, not least for our supporters who have stuck by us especially during the difficult times this season."

Keith Curle (Carlisle boss): “We won’t give up trying to get into the play-offs and we have got to finish as high as we possibly can. We can then use that as a stepping stone but I still say that we’ve taken some massive strides from where we were last season.”

WE’VE MET BEFORE?

The clubs have met on five occasions in the Football League, four of them in League One.

In 2012 we won 2-0 at Brunton Park and drew 1-1 there in November 2013 thanks to Billy Clarke's late equaliser. At home, both meetings ended in draws - 1-1 in March 2013, when Mat Sadler scored, and 0-0 in April 2014.

Back in November, Rhys Murphy was on target at Brunton Park but Reds lost 3-1 - their first ever defeat to the Cumbrians.
