Liverpool beat Sussex in FA County Cup final
Two first-half goals earned Liverpool a 2-0 win over Sussex in the FA County Cup final at the Checkatrade Stadium on Sunday.Sussex had the better chances before a deflected shot from Usen Jones from 20 yards broke the deadlock in the 21st minute.
Liverpool midfielder John McGrath doubled their advantage on 33 minutes when he finished a superb solo run with a composed side-foot finish - a goal worthy of winning any final.
Sussex huffed and puffed in the second half but a resilient Liverpool team soaked up the pressure well and ran out deserved winners in front of a crowd of 671.
