A look ahead to Saturday's game at the Keepmoat Stadium

The Reds travel to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday in their first away game of the EFL 2 season where they take on relegated Doncaster Rovers.

Dermot Drummy’s men kicked off their league campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win at home to Wycombe Wanderers last Saturday. That was followed by a valiant performance in a narrow 2-1 defeat to Wolves at Molineux on Tuesday in the EFL Cup first round.

Saturday’s opponents suffered a 3-2 defeat at Accrington Stanley last weekend, before falling to another late loss at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the Keepmoat on Tuesday, 2-1 in the EFL Cup.

Opposition Dugout:

Darren Ferguson’s side suffered relegation from England’s third tier last term, their fate sealed on the final day of the 2015-16 season.

The summer has seen 12 new arrivals in the squad – but the club hasn’t paid a fee for any of their new acquisitions, all of the new faces having been brought in either on free transfers or as loans.

The stand-out names being Mathieu Baudry, Gary McSheffery and John Marquis who have arrived from Leyton Orient, Scunthorpe United and Millwall respectively.

We’ve Met Before:

The last time the two sides met was in RH11 in February 2015 when Joe Walsh was sent off as Reds crashed to a 5-0 defeat under ex-Doncaster boss Dean Saunders.

The game at the Keepmoat in September 2014 had finished in a 0-0 draw.

Reds won 1-0 at Doncaster in August 2012 thanks to a goal from Nicky Ajose and Josh Simpson's penalty earned Reds a 1-1 draw when the teams met at the Checkatrade Stadium in February 2013 in a clash televised live by Sky Sports.
