Defender reflects on 1-1 draw against Barnet

Lewis Young was happy that Reds extended their unbeaten start to the campaign after the 1-1 draw against Barnet on Saturday.

Fellow defender Joe McNerney rescued Reds with a second-half leveller after ex-Crawley striker John Akinde had given the visitors an early lead with Crawley now up to second in the table.

Lewis said: "I think it was a good point in the end. We might have nicked it late on but to be fair to Barnet they were well organised, strong and got a lot of balls into our box.

"But I think there are a lot of positives for us. There is a real togetherness in the squad. We regrouped at half-time and showed our spirit, and the fans reacted to that too.

"Football-wise I think there is still a lot to come from us. At home we've had two tough, physical games but stood up to the challenge well. We're pleased to be second, even at this early stage, but we know we can do even better."
