A look ahead to Wednesday's game

The Reds travel to the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday evening to face Coventry City in the Second Round of the Checkatrade Trophy (7.45pm).

 

Dermot Drummy’s men advanced into the knockout stages of the competition after finishing second in Southern Group E.

 

A 1-0 home win over Colchester United and an impressive 2-0 victory away to Charlton Athletic at The Valley were enough to see the side through along with Southampton U23s to the knockout stages.

The Opposition:

 


Coventry City suffered a heavy defeat in the Emirates FA Cup at the weekend – the Sky Blues fell to a 4-0 loss as they exited the competition at the Second Round stage to Cambridge United.

The Reds will be able to welcome back the defensive duo of Lewis Young and Josh Yorwerth into the matchday squad after they missed the weekend’s defeat to Yeovil Town through suspension.

 


Joe McNerney remains unavailable through injury as does striker Matt Harrold, who is recovering from a torn Achilles.
