"We need to cut out mistakes"

The skipper on improving starts to matches

Captain Jimmy Smith called on his teammates to cut out errors after Monday's narrow 3-2 defeat to Leyton Orient.

The Reds gave themselves a mountain climb having gone in at the break 3-0 down at Brisbane Road, and despite a rally in the second half that yielded two goals it was too little too late for Dermot Drummy's men.

"We didn't start well and they won the second balls to start with," he told Reds Player HD.

"We need to do much better as a team to stop teams starting like that.

"In the second half we've come out and improved and scored two good goals, but we really need to start matches better.

"We always say it before the game, and we need to put it right against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday."
