Jenkins leaves Reds

19 February 2016

Midfielder released from contract to sign for Romanian club

The club can confirm that midfielder Ross Jenkins has left with immediate effect and his contract, which was due to run until the end of the season, has been cancelled.

Ross has been allowed to join Romanian top-flight club ACS Poli Timisoara, where he is due to sign a contract until the end of the 2016-17 season after flying to Romania on Thursday.

The former Watford midfielder, who joined the club last September, made 12 appearances for Reds including six starts.

Manager Mark Yates said: “Ross has got an opportunity to get a good contract in Romania and we didn’t want to stand in his way. He’s been an excellent pro during his time here and we wish him all the best for the future.”
