Football League Mascots are World Record Breakers!
SpongeBob SquarePants led a team of ten mascots from Football League clubs to a new Guinness World Records title this week! The Guinness World Record was attempted as part of filming for Nick Kicks, Nickelodeon’s new family football show covering The Football League.

Setting the Guinness World Records title for ‘the highest number of football (soccer) penalty kicks scored by a team of mascots in one minute’ with 16 shots scored, SpongeBob was joined by Billy the Badger (Fulham), Captain Blade (Sheffield United), Digger the Dog (Dagenham & Redbridge), Happy Harry (Luton Town), Haydon the Womble (AFC Wimbledon), Nelson the Dog (Portsmouth), Rammie (Derby County), Robyn the Robin (Charlton Athletic) and Wolfie & Wendy (Wolverhampton Wanderers).
Charlton Athletic’s Sir Valiant served as ball boy for the event with Peter Burrow (Peterborough United), Gully (Brighton & Hove Albion), Ewie (Derby County) and Clarence the Dragon (Northampton Town) cheering the team onto victory.
