TEAM NEWS
Joe McNerney (knee) and Jimmy Smith (foot) are all missing for the Reds, however, Lanre Oyebanjo has returned to full training.
At least one change will have to be made as Mitch Hancox, Josh Emmanuel and Christian Scales have all returned to their respective clubs after loan spells.
Cambridge manager Shaun Derry will also be forced into a change after Ben Williamson completed his loan spell from Gillingham.
Greg Taylor and Ryan Donaldoson (ankle) have also been ruled out for Saturday's game. The U's have bolstered their squad with the loan signings of Darnell Furlong (QPR) and Lewis Page (West Ham), whilst Ryan Ledson has extended his loan spell. Striker Rory Gaffney is also in contention after returning from his loan with Bristol Rovers.
THE FORM GUIDE
The Reds have won six out of the last seven home games in the league.
The U's have seen an upturn in results since Shaun Derry's arrival with five wins, a draw and three losses lifting his side to 11th in the table. They come into the game having been beaten 4-1 at Abbey Stadium over the weekend. Derry was named League 2 manager of the month for December on Friday.
VIEW FROM THE BENCH
: "I like Shaun and he's done a great job since going in there. They had a blip last Saturday which they will be looking to put right but our form here is good. We've made the Checkatrade.com Stadium a difficult place for visiting teams and we want that to continue."Mark Yates
WE’VE MET BEFORE?
The Reds travelled to the Abbey in August and claimed a comprehensive 3-0 victory over the U's. The sides were regular opponents in the Conference but we did meet in last season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round when an own goal and a strike from Charles Banya secured a 2-0 win for the Reds at home.
