Ben's back on Saturday!

17 March 2016

Crawley boxer here to promote his big fight next month

It’s our pleasure to welcome Crawley’s own Ben ‘Duracell’ Jones back for the second time this season and first since becoming WBO Intercontinental featherweight champion back in October.

Ben, who is now No.7 in the WBO world rankings in the featherweight division, is here at Saturday's game against Hartlepool to promote his his upcoming title defence on home turf at K2 Leisure Centre on Saturday 9th April straight after the Reds take on promotion-chasing Oxford United at the Checkatrade Stadium.

If he successfully retains his belt then a world title shot is on the cards as will move him to No. 3 in the rankings.

Reds’ fan Ben will have his current belt with him for photos before and at half time and tickets for his fight are available to purchase from his management on Saturday.

Ben said: “I can’t thank the club enough for their ongoing support in what is potentially the biggest year of my professional boxing career.

“I really hope many of you Reds fans will also get behind me by getting your tickets and packing out the K2 on 9th April and cheer me on to victory. It would be great to see Crawley fans crossing the road after the Oxford game and giving me their support.”

For tickets and VIP table information for Ben’s big night please call Graham Wright on 07944 072696 or email him at graham.wright@assassinboxing.com for availability.

Ben will be introduced on the pitch at half-time on Saturday, so please give him a big cheer!
