TEAM NEWS

Jimmy Smith (foot) is missing for Reds but Joe McNerney is available after recovering from the knee injury which sidelined him last August.

Veteran defender, who is on loan from Doncaster Rovers, Rob Jones (cold) should return after missing the midweek 0-0 draw at Newport County.

THE FORM GUIDE

Reds have lost two of their last seven and are unbeaten in their last three.

Hartlepool have picked up seven points from their last three matches under new boss Craig Hignett.

VIEW FROM THE BOSS

Mark Yates – “We’re in decent form at the moment and we have a settled squad with healthy competition for places. We have ten games left and we want to finish the season as strongly as we can. Hartlepool are in decent form themselves, so it should be a decent game.”
