TEAM NEWS
Jimmy Smith (foot) is missing for Reds and is our only injury doubt. With Paul Jones back at Portsmouth, Callum Preston is expected to get a chance in goal.
York have no fresh injury worries.
THE FORM GUIDE
Reds have lost two of their last eight and are unbeaten in their last four.
Second from bottom York have lost six of their last seven games. They drew the other last time out at home, when it finished 1-1 against Barnet.
VIEW FROM THE BOSS
Mark Yates – “York are fighting for their lives. I think their manager believes they will need to win six of their last nine games and I’m sure he is targeting this as one of them. We’re on a good run though, and we want that to continue.”
WE’VE MET BEFORE?
The only previous Football League meeting took place in October, when Simon Walton’s stoppage-time penalty earned Reds a 1-0 win at the Checkatrade Stadium.
We have also played York 14 times, going back to 2005, in the National League / Conference. The most recent meetings in the 2010-11 promotion season both finished 1-1.
Our overall record against the Minstermen from 15 games is five wins, five defeats and five draws. Reds have drawn three times on seven previous visits to York but have yet to win there.
