More on our new signing Josh Payne

Josh plays primarily as a central midfielder, and has played for an impressive list of clubs including West Ham United, Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Wycombe Wanderers, Doncaster Rovers, Oxford United, Aldershot Town, Woking and Eastleigh.

Having made his debut for West Ham aged 18, three loan spells followed before he settled with Oxford United permanently from 2010 to 2012. During that time Payne made 34 appearances for

the club, before moving on to Aldershot and Woking respectively.

He left the latter for Eastleigh and played a part in their historic FA Cup run last season when they reached the third round before losing to Championship side Bolton after a replay.

TOP FLIGHT DEBUT: Payne made his West Ham and Premier League debut on 21 March 2009 in a 1–1 away draw against Blackburn Rovers coming on as a 90th-minute substitute for Diego

Tristán

INSTANT IMPACT: Payne scored on his debuts for both Wycombe Wanderers and Doncaster Rovers respectively.

PREVIOUS VISIT: Josh played for Aldershot at the Checkatrade Stadium in February 2012 when the teams drew 2-2 in a League Two fixture.
