Three areas of discussion ahead of Accrington
Dermot’s talking points ahead of Accrington Stanley from Thursday's video interview:
Bouncing back:
“Our home form is pretty good and the lads are ready to put it right after last weekend’s game at Cheltenham Town.”
“It was the end of an unbeaten run – we made some errors for their goals and they weren’t created by good play, we let them score too easily and we’ve got to eradicate that.”
Winning mentality for the club:
“It’s something we want everywhere – even on the training pitch.
“I usually put players up against one another in that environment for a reason to test them.
“We want an expectation to win and a disappointment when we don’t, it’s something we’re looking to breed here.”
Another tough game:
“I saw them against West Ham in the EFL Cup and I thought they were very organised and played good football.
“They’ve got an experienced manager – we respect every opposition, but it’ll be a different game to the one last week.”
