Disabled supporters watch Reds prepare for Blackpool game

The Disabled Supporters Association was delighted to go and watch the preparations for the Blackpool game at the training ground on Friday.

Fuelled with coffee and cake from the Macmillan coffee morning in Redz earlier, 14 members were able to be there. Sitting in the sunshine we enjoyed watching the fun filled warm up, culminating in Mark Connolly giving us a rendition of The Wild Rover!

This was followed by some skills training and a practice game. Dermot had told us that this was to be a gentle session but it looked pretty hard to us!

We watched the game the next day with particular interest having seen the build-up and heard from Dermot what goes into preparing the players for a match.

Whatever he and Matt said and did certainly payed off big time because it was a great match, played at a high pace, and we won!

Well done the Reds and thank you for your friendly hospitality.
