Toner in charge

5 April 2017

Referee and assistants for Saturday's game with Plymouth Argyle confirmed

Ben Toner will take charge of a game involving the Reds for the third time this season when we host Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

The Lancashire based official was also in charge for the game away to Portsmouth at Fratton Park in September, and the 4-2 loss after extra time in the Emirates FA Cup to Bristol Rovers in November.

So far this campaign the referee has officiated 33 matches across the EFL and cup competitions, brandishing 108 yellow cards and four reds.

His most recent appointment was last weekend at the One Call Stadium where he officiated Exeter City's last gasp 2-1 win away to Mansfield Town.

Mr Toner's first assignment involving the Reds was the 1-0 loss at home to Yeovil Town in the 2015/16 campaign.

He will be assisted by Mr Anthony Da Costa and Mr Louis Marks for the visit of the Pilgrims. The fourth official will be Mr Marc Wilson.
