Michael Salisbury to take charge of Birmingham City game

Referee and assistants for Carabao Cup clash confirmed

7 August 2017

Michael Salisbury will take charge of the Reds’ trip to Birmingham City in the First Round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).

The referee was the man in the middle on Saturday at Glanford Park as Scunthorpe United drew 1-1 with AFC Wimbledon on the opening day.

Mr Salisbury officiated the Reds once last season – the 0-0 draw at home to Doncaster Rovers at the start of March, that was the first time he took charge of a game involving the side.

Last season he took charge of 31 games in total across the EFL and it’s competitions, issuing 107 yellow cards and nine reds.

He will be assisted by Mr Joe Simpson and Mr Nigel Smith - the fourth official will be Mr Ian Dudley.
