The side’s 2017-18 Checkatrade Trophy Group was confirmed yesterday and the Reds will face Charlton Athletic, Portsmouth and Fulham.
Harry Kewell’s men will compete in Southern Group A with the first round of group matches scheduled to take place during the week commencing Monday 28th August – the top two teams from each group will then advance to the knockout stages of the competition.
Round Two will remain regionalised with the winners of the group at home against a second placed team from a different group.
Round Three will also remain regionalised, before the quarter-final stages will then be drawn without geographical restriction.
If the scores are level after 90 minutes, all knock-out rounds will be decided by penalties except for the final – which will have extra time and then penalties.
The schedule of the side’s group games will be as follows:
Crawley Town vs Charlton Athletic
Portsmouth vs Crawley Town
Crawley Town vs Fulham
