Warren Feeney is keen to continue the side's good pre-season work when the Reds travel to Bognor Regis Town on Wednesday evening (7-45pm).

The Assistant Coach pointed to the nearing Football League season as meaning pre-season games towards the end of the summer schedule take on greater significance.

"It's another good test for us," he told iFollow Crawley.

"Dulwich Hamlet gave us a good game last week, but obviously the main priority is fitness duing pre-season.

"It's always nice to win and get into good habits, but we're getting to the nitty-gritty now that we've not got many days to go until the start of the season."

The Northern Irishman insisted that once the campaign kicks off against Port Vale on 5th August then the games will come thick and fast - something that the hard work over recent weeks has all been building towards.

"The main thing for us is to come through all of the matches without any injuries.

"It's been hard work, but the bread and butter is the league football and we all just want to get that started now.

"We've been here four and a half weeks - so we're polishing the players off and getting them ready for 5th August now."
