Harry Kewell can't wait to get his side out in front of the home fans when the Reds host Chelsea on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

The new Head Coach has been training with the players for over a fortnight now, and after two away pre-season friendlies so far, the Reds play at the Checkatrade Stadium for the first time in the new campaign against the Blues.

"We're all looking forward to the game because we've had a good couple of weeks," he told iFollow Crawley.

"It's going to be tough because it's Chelsea and everyone knows what they can bring - especially their first team, but their youngsters are talented as well and they're bringing down a strong group.

"It'll be good test for us and the players will get valuable game time and then we'll take it from there."

With the Australian fielding two different sides in either half of the previous two pre-season matches so far, he certainly has plenty of options available to him with regards to team selection.

"I have an idea of what I want to do and I certainly have some big decisions to make with team selection," he continued.

"You can see the disappointment when players aren't picked but you need that competitive environment to do well.

"There's going to be moments when players aren't out there, and other times when they'll get their chance.

"It's a long season, we have a lot of games and everyone will get their opportunity."

The game against the Premier League side marks the club's kit launch and Family Fun Day and Kewell was keen to praise the work of the club in setting up the event.

"The family fun day will make it a special day, and for the fans to see the new kit for the first time will be great too.

"Hopefully the weather is good and everyone enjoys the day."
