More than 20 fans turned up to the Checkatrade Stadium on Saturday to help carry out maintenance jobs around the ground.
Organised by Ken Blackmore and Neil Blackwell, the day was a success as the north-east corner of the stadium was completely re-organised as frost and rain covers were tied back up and neatly restacked ready for use during the new season.
Head Groundsman and Complete Turf Care's Ben Harwood expressed his thanks to those who helped him clear the north-east corner.
"I want to thank everyone who came and helped us today," he said.
"Moving the covers is a big job in itself, but to then roll them all back out and tie them up again really did take some time - it's really helped us for the long term, but hopefully we won't have to move them out again during the season!"
Fans also helped to sweep the entire terraces at both ends of the stadium, as well as the concourses and entrance areas. Weeding was also done around the perimiters of the dugout and the pitch, as well as outside the stadium.
A pizza lunch was provided by the club, and Operations Director Kelly Derham also expressed her thanks to the fans who gave up their Saturdays to help.
"We held two of these days last year and the response was fantastic, and it has been the same again this year," she said.
"We pride ourselves on being a community club, and really value the fans who give up their time for events like these."
Every fan who attended was given a voucher to claim two free tickets to a pre-season game of their choice as a thank you from the club.
