Away tie to be played the week commencing Monday 7th August
The Reds will face Birmingham City in the First Round of the Carabao Cup after the draw was made on Friday afternoon.
Harry Kewell's first competitive cup game in charge of the side will see him take the Reds to St Andrew's in midweek during the week starting Monday 7th August.
Details on tickets will be finalised once the date for the tie is confirmed - games chosen for television coverage for the opening round of the competition are set to be announced on Tuesday 20th July.
