Let's finish strongly - Dermot

Seven games to go and boss wants big finale

Important to finish season strongly, sats Head Coach

Head Coach Dermot Drummy wants a strong finish to the season after our return to winning ways on Saturday.

A 3-0 win over Leyton Orient was our first victory for a month and first at home since we defeated Hartlepool in mid-January.

With seven games to go Dermot says the squad are looking upwards and are determined to use Saturday’s win as a springboard for a climb up the table.

“We’ve got some interesting games left, nearly all of them against sides fighting for promotion or the play-offs or teams fighting to stay in the division,” said Dermot.

“That’s good for us because it means our intensity levels have to be high, week in, week out. I am determined that we won’t ease up between now and the end of the season and the players have to have exactly the same mindset between now and Mansfield on May 6.”

Jordan Roberts and Mark Connolly are continuing their rehabilitation after injury and hope to be back in contention before our next home game against Plymouth Argyle on April 8.
