Reds striker reflects on frustrating evening
James Collins emphasised that the side need to be better all round following Tuesday evening's disappointing defeat to Crewe Alexandra.Goals from James Jones, Jordan Bowery and Chris Dagnall condemned the Reds to a 3-0 loss and the striker conceded that the side need to improve quickly to turn around results.
"Mistakes are costing us and we're being punished at the moment," he admitted.
"Collectively we all need to be a lot better - we knew Crewe would react after their game at the weekend and we didn't match them.
"I think they came here with a game plan and unfortunately for us at the moment we keep giving it away and can't get going.
"But it's down to us to put it right and things need to change - we'll be working hard in training to do that."
