Thomas Verheydt was delighted to open his league account for the Reds on Saturday against Forest Green Rovers - in a game where he felt a draw was a fair result.
The Dutch forward levelled the scores to 1-1 with a header ten minutes from the end of the game to cancel out Christian Doidge's opener earlier in the half.
"I'm very happy that I scored and maybe overall when you look back on the ame a draw was a fair result," he told iFollow Crawley.
"They had some very good chances and so did we - you always want to win every game but at the end I think you can say both teams deserved a point each.
"They're a very good side who play some good football and find one another well so we can be happy with today."
The forward made his first league start since the 19th August on Saturday afternoon and insisted that supporters were yet to see the best of him in a Crawley Town shirt.
"I've been out for a long while and it's been 10 weeks since I played," he continued.
"I'd say fans are yet to see the best of me, definitely.
"I've been working really hard to be back involved and hoepfully now today's goal can kickstart my career here.
"I just want to score goals and be an important player for Crawley Town so now that's what I'll be looking to do."
