FIVE POINT PREVIEW | Luton Town

Five things to look out for at the Checkatrade Stadium on Saturday afternoon

20 October 2017

The Hatters visit the Checkatrade Stadium on Saturday and we've picked out five notable points ahead of the contest...

Only a winner and a loser...

If Football League history between these two clubs is anything to go by, then we should be able to rule out the possibility of a draw on Saturday.

Out of the four League Two meetings, the Reds have won three and the Hatters just one.

Crawley also have a JPT triumph to their name whilst the the Hatters knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup First Round in 2015.

Fine margins...

Five of the six meetings have been decided by just one goal, the only exception being Crawley's 2-0 win at home last season.

Collo's return...

James Collins' first return to the Checkatrade Stadium will no doubt be a talking point, as the Irishman looks to demonstrate his goalscoring ability that saw him net 22 goals for the Reds last campaign.

He hasn't started too badly at his new club either, scoring eight goals and providing four assists meaning he'll have to be closely watched on Saturday.

Official omen...

It's safe to say the Reds home form has been disappointing of late, however they have still picked up one win on home turf.

It was the 2-0 win over Yeovil Town last month and the man who refereed that game is set to take charge on Saturday.

Can Trevor Kettle act as Crawley Town's lucky charm on the weekend?

Debut to remember...

Around this time last year, Glenn Morris was stepping out at the Checkatrade Stadium to make his Reds debut against Luton Town.

Morris kept a clean sheet as Crawley won 2-0 so let's hope the stopper is in similiar form for this season's edition of the fixture.
