All the content ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Exiles

25 September 2017

The Reds host Newport County AFC on Tuesday evening (7-45pm) looking to build on Saturday’s impressive 2-1 win away to Barnet at the Hive.

Harry Kewell’s men have picked up seven points on the road this campaign and will be looking to bounce back from their home defeat to Notts County the weekend before last.

Their opponents sit in eight position in the league and have won two of their last three matches – their last away game saw them suffer a 2-1 defeat to Morecambe at the Globe Arena.

The Opposition

Mike Flynn’s men have begun the campaign in good form after a difficult season last year. Two wins and two draws from their opening four league matches – including an impressive 1-0 win away to Coventry City and a convincing 4-1 success at home to Chesterfield.

The man at the helm was a first team coach in October 2015 under John Sheridan. He was retained as a first team coach under our Assistant Coach, Warren Feeney, in January 2016 and then Graham Westley in October that year.

He was appointed as caretaker manager in March last season, with the side 11 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the league. But he turned the side’s fortunes around and a win on the final day of the season sealed Football League survival.
