Appearance milestones for Reds players

10 April 2018

A handful of Reds players are approaching career milestones as we enter the last stretch of the season.

On Saturday, Mark Connolly (pictured) made his 150th appearance in the 2-1 win over Port Vale.
If he is selected for this Saturday's game at home to Coventry, skipper Jimmy Smith will also chalk up his 150th start for the club.

Lewis Young needs two more starts to clock up 150 for the Reds and Enzio Boldewijn needs three games to reach 100 starts.

Midfielder Josh Payne's next start for the club will be his 50th.

Players making 150 starts for Reds during our seven years in the Football League are a pretty exclusive band.

The only other player to have started 150 games during that time is Dannie Bulman, who also clocked up the milestone at Vale Park last Saturday.

Four players have made more than 100 starts since promotion to the Football League in 2011.

They are Kyle McFadzean (107), Joe Walsh (107), Paul Jones (113) and Mat Sadler (113).
