The Reds have the chance to put things right after three consecutive defeats in league and cup when they welcome Swindon to the Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Robins have had a whirlwind start to the season, winning both of their home league games 3-2 – against Macclesfield Town and Tranmere Rovers – but losing their away game 4-1 to Lincoln City. They have also lost to Chelsea U21 in their opening Checkatrade Trophy match, and 1-0 to Forest Green in the Carabao Cup.
Crawley will be looking to improve n their results after losing t 1-0 to Port Vale on Saturday despite dominating much of the game at Vale Park.
Swindon are managed by the vastly experienced Phil Brown (pictured), who took over in March.
HEAD TO HEAD
The Reds are unbeaten in their last seven matches against the Wiltshire side, having won three and drawn four of those games. That is much better than a three game spell between 2011 and 2012 where Swindon won 3-0 three times in a row.
The last meeting saw a 1-1 draw at the Broadfield Stadium, when Marc Richards cancelled out Jimmy Smith’s opener in front of a bumper crowd of 5008 on Pay What You Can day.
ONE TO WATCH
Former Red Michael Doughty has had a fantastic start to the season for the Robins, scoring four times in his opening three games for the club, including a hat trick – of which two were penalties - on the opening day of the season against Macclesfield Town. He joined Swindon, where he previously had a loan spell, from Peterborough United during the summer.
He made 16 appearances for the Reds in our debut Football League season, when he signed on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
