TICKETING UPDATE FROM KELLY DERHAM

23 August 2018

I must apologise for the ticketing and access issues we had before the Swindon game on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, about 30 minutes before kick-off we had a major outage on our internet and this caused the ticket machines in the box office to fail. Although we were up and running again within ten minutes, it meant that a queue quickly formed. I am sorry that some fans were unable to gain access until after kick off.

The new ticketing system is definitely an improvement but we accept that there are still issues bedding it in, which we are working to resolve with our providers. We’ve looked at our procedures again since Swindon and I’m confident things will run a lot more smoothly on Saturday against Bury.

We are looking for part-time staff to work in the ticket office. If you are interested in this paid role, which also gets you into the game for free, please email sophieharding@crawleytownfc.com

We are finishing off our new IT infrastructure over the next two days and in time for Saturday and this should significantly help the back-office ticket operation. Once in place we can confidently go ahead and launch our new online ticket portal, hopefully next week.

Another old favourite – the PA system – caused us issues on Tuesday as well. Today (Thursday) a specialist engineer has spent two hours working on this and it is now up to standard, with a back-up in place in case of any issues on matchday.

Once again, apologies for the problems on Tuesday.

Kelly
