Crawley Town can confirm the loan signing of Joe Maguire from Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town until January 1, becoming The Reds’ second signing of the day.
Maguire is a defender by trade and plays primarily at left back, and is a product of the Liverpool FC academy where he started aged just nine years old.
The 22-year-old spent time on loan at Leyton Orient in 2015, making a handful of first team appearances, which included his professional debut.
Maguire joins having made eight first team appearances for the Cod Army last season, and one this season – playing 61 minutes in a 4-0 Carabao Cup defeat at Leicester City.
Director of Football Selim Gaygusuz said, "Joe will be an important addition to the squad at a time when the team goes through a period of change. His experience in League One and at Liverpool will be invaluable to us."
He will not be available for selection against Oldham on Saturday and will join up with the squad on Monday. Joe will have squad no. 16.
