The referee for Saturday’s clash with Stevenage has been announced by the EFL.
Peter Wright will take centre stage at the Broadfield Stadium in what will be his first Football League match, having been promoted from the National League group of match officials over the summer.
Wright spent last season in the National League and took charge 26 games, including an FA Cup tie between Gainsborough Trinity and Slough Town, plus the Play-Off Semi-Final between Tranmere Rovers and Ebbsfleet United.
He has also officiated matches in the Women’s Super League.
Wright will be assisted by Abbas Khan and Leigh Crowhurst, with Stuart Butler acting as fourth official.
