REDS SUPPORT WORK OF OLIVE TREE CANCER SUPPORT

6 December 2018

We are delighted to be welcoming friends of the Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre who will be collecting for this Crawley-based charity on Saturday before the game against Northampton Town.

The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre, which is located in the grounds of grounds of Crawley Hospital, has been providing support to local people affected by cancer for over 25 years.

We are Here to Help

Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is difficult, stressful and emotional, both for the patient and for their family and friends. Statistically, one in three of us will develop cancer, but when it strikes close to home it can feel overwhelming.

The Olive Tree provides a haven: somewhere to go and be with people who understand and can help. We provide free information, advice and a wide range of complementary therapies to support local people affected by cancer.

Complementary and Emotional Support Therapies

Complementary therapies can help to reduce stress, alleviate the side effects of cancer treatments and enhance feelings of well-being. Therapies on offer include massage, acupuncture, aromatherapy, Reiki and craniosacral therapy. Emotional support is provided via counselling, hypnotherapy and mindfulness workshops. A number of support groups, which provide an informal environment for people to come together and support each other through shared experience, are also available.

Additional Services

Our range of services is continually evolving and currently includes yoga, singing workshops, Pink Ribbon and CU Fitter fitness classes, the Trailblazers running group and Look Good Feel Better masterclasses.

Collectors from Olive Tree will be in and around the stadium on Saturday. Please give generously to help this fantastic local charity.
